Renowned for their rich harmonies, Nashville three-piece Lady Antebellum have rapidly become one of contemporary country’s most successful crossover acts. Having twice previously failed to get past the audition stages of American Idol, vocalist Hillary Scott, also the daughter of Grammy-winning singer Linda Davis, then teamed up with former middle-school friends Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood in Tennesse in 2006. Lady Antebellum tickets were then sold across the city’s live circuit as the band began to hone their sound in various clubs before they signed to Capitol Records in 2007. After appearing on adult contemporary artist Jim Brickman’s single, “Never Alone,” and contributing a track to the MTV reality series, The Hills, the trio then released their self-titled debut a year later. The first record by a new group or duo to top the Top Country Albums chart in Billboard history, it also spawned the country number one, “I Run To You,” and led to a support slot on Martina McBride’s “Waking Up Laughing Tour”, as well as appearances on the “CMT On Tour” with Jason Aldean, the “Sun City Carnival Tour” with Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert and Sugarland, and the “Southern Voice Tour” with Tim McGraw, Love & Theft, and The Lost Trailers. But Lady Antebellum tickets for their first major headline shows were only made available in 2010 following the success of Billboard Top 200 chart-topper Need You Now and its No.2 lead single of the same name, which also became their breakthrough hit outside the US. The band then won five Grammys including Best Country Song, Record of the Year, and Best Country Album, whilst also scooping two CMA Awards, three Academy of Country Music gongs and an American Music Award for Favourite Country Band. “American Honey” and “Our Kind Of Love” continued their run of US Country number ones, whilst the band ended the year with a performance of the National Anthem at the 2010 World Series and the release of their festive E.P., A Merry Little Christmas. After opening for Keith Urban on his 2011 Australian tour, they then scored a second US number one album with third studio effort, Own The Night, a second Hot 100 Top 10 hit with “Just A Kiss” and released Lady Antebellum tickets for a world tour also featuring former Hootie & The Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker and country duo Thompson Square across 2012.
