Singer and songwriter Meghan Trainor embarked on her first-ever headlining tour in 2015, dubbed as the “That
Bass Tour”. The 17-city tour ran through mid-March, culminating with a show at at the Cannnery Ballroom in Nashville, Tennessee. The tour's name derived from the singer's song “All About That Bass”, which reached number 1 on the U.S. Billboard 100 chart and topped the charts in countries such as Australia,
New Zealand, Canada, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Meghan Trainor was born and raised in Nantucket, Massachusetts and began writing songs at the age of 11. Trainor was part of a musical family with whom she began a band with. Her
parents bought her a computer at the age of 13 and she began composing songs of her own. By age 17,
she was competing in singing contests and found a plethora of success, eventually self-releasing two
albums when by the time she was 18.
Trainor took several writing trips in her late teens in Los Angeles, New York, and Nashville. It was during
one of these writing trips that the artist met and wrote with Grammy-nominated producer Kevin Kadish. Together the duo wrote her break out hit “All About That Bass” and shortly thereafter, she
released the LP “Title” in September 2014.
She'll begin the "MTrain" Tour in the summer of 2015, making it her second solo stint across North America in her young career.
