The Los Angeles Dodgers are one of the oldest franchises in all of modern baseball. Conceived in Brooklyn back in 1883, the team spent nearly 75 years in Brooklyn with the same team name. In 1958, the Dodgers decided to move the franchise to the opposite coast, and set up shop in Los Angeles. Currently, it is the third oldest baseball park being used and the only other older parks are Fenway Park and Wrigley Field. The stadium can seat 56,000; however, it has seen as many as 57,099 Dodgers tickets be sold, which was the franchise record set for their season opener in 2009. Dodger Stadium is one of the only parks that has never changed its capacity, and has seated 56,000 for as long as the park has been in existence.
