The New York Knicks are one of the NBA teams that has very rich in history. As one of only two teams in the NBA who has remained in their original city, the New York Knicks tickets are at a premium. Founded in 1946, this team jumped out the gate fast. By 1950, they had made three trips to the NBA finals. Unfortunately, they lost all three championship matchups. Nevertheless, the feat was impressive. It took the hiring of a great coach named Red Holzman to bring the championship trophy to New York. The New York Knicks tickets in this era were a coveted item while the team marched their way to championships in 1970 and 1973. Key players in this era were Walt Frazier and Phil Jackson, who later becomes the coach who wins the most NBA championships. After a lull in stellar play, the New York Knicks tickets became a hot item again in the ‘90s. A dominant player name Patrick Ewing and a coach named Pat Riley led the charge for the Knicks to become a playoff contender once again. They did rise to appear in two NBA finals...however the championship eluded them again during this era. The Knicks went through another dry period and are now regaining momentum to be a force in the NBA. Players like Tyson Chandler and Carmelo Anthony have added their skills to today’s team. The Knicks also have a new discovery, Jeremy Lin, who is adding value to New York Knicks tickets. He is impressing fans everywhere.

When you say Madison Square Garden, you think of sporting events galore. Opening in 1968, Madison Square Garden is the second oldest arena in the NBA. It is located in the borough of Manhattan. It is also the home of the WNBA, New York Liberty and the National Hockey League’s, New York Rangers. What’s even more interesting is that all of these teams are owned by Madison Square Garden, LP. In addition, Madison Square Garden has been the venue for exceptional music concerts, wrestling and boxing events. It is currently going through a three offseason renovation. When completed, purchasing New York Knicks tickets will give you opportunity to witness a new Garden. Knicks is an appreciated name for Knickerbockers. The team name Knickerbockers was extracted from a book written by Washington Irving entitled, “A History of New York”. 11-20-12: Off to their best start in years, the Knicks remain atop the Atlantic Division with a 7-1 record. With an upcoming three game road trip, their second in 10 days (2-1 on first 3 game road trip) it will be interesting to see if the excellent play will continue. After the road trip the Knicks will have 1 day off before facing Detroit at Madison Square Garden. For now, the team seems to be clicking on all cylinders from top to bottom, but what will be interesting is the return of Amar’e Stoudemire sometime around Christmas. If Amar’e can blend in quickly, the Knicks will likely remain a dominant force in the East and give themselves a strong chance to contend for a trip to the finals.

2-14-13: As the Knicks head into the break they will ponder the thought of possible changes that may or may not have to be made. Currently on a small two game losing streak, the Knicks have slowly fallen out of the championship conversation amongst NBA analysts. Despite big aspirations and even bigger talk, the Knicks play has left much to be desired through 50 games. The Knicks are still in first place in their division but have squandered many opportunities to put some real distance between themselves and the rest of the division. The Knicks are only 11-9 since the return of Amar’e Stoudemire which is disappointing. Before Amar’e returned the team was 21-10. The All-Star break will provide some much needed rest for certain Knicks and it will also give them an opportunity to get some key players back, such as Marcus Camby.
