Tommy Armstrong Jr. was intercepted with 30 seconds left to end any hopes of a major comeback. Ameer Abdullah was held to just 45 rushing yards on 24 carries. Armstrong threw for 273 yards but completed just 20 of 43 passes and was intercepted twice. Nebraska has a bye this week.
10-1-14: The Cornhuskers are 5-0 on the year, and they continue to roll as they beat Illinois 45-14 over the weekend. Heisman hopeful Ameer Abdullah ran for 208 yards and three touchdowns. Nebraska ran for 458 yards, compared to just 78 on the ground for Illinois. Quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. had 232 yards of total offense. 9-22-14: The Cornhuskers are 4-0 and are off to their best start since 2011. Running back Ameer Abdullah has been dominant, and quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. has looked poised under center. Nebraska beat rival Miami 41-31 in Lincoln this past weekend. Abdullah ran for 229 yards and two touchdowns on 35 carries. Armstrong completed nine of 13 passes for 113
yards and two TDs. Nebraska did allow 435 yards to Miami but forced three turnovers. The Cornhuskers will host a slumping Illinois team this weekend.
9-15-14: After barely escaping FCS McNeese State at home last weekend, the Cornhuskers followed up with a dominant 55-19 win at hapless Fresno State. Nebraska wasn’t challenged a single bit and senior tailback Ameer Abdullah surpassed his entire rushing total from last week on one 57-yard run. They have an interesting matchup next week when the Miami Hurricanes travel to Lincoln to take on the Cornhuskers.
Nebraska basketball’s best season arguably came back in 1916, when the Cornhuskers ran through an undefeated season (12-0) in the Missouri Valley Intercollegiate Athletics Association and claimed a conference title. Despite that being their only conference title in team history, Nebraska Cornhuskers tickets have still been held in high regard by Husker Nation.
Despite some struggles in their history, the Cornhuskers found success on the basketball court in 1986, the first time they would reach the NCAA tournament. It was during this period that Nebraska Cornhuskers tickets were the hardest to obtain, as head coach Danny Nee guided the team to five of their six NCAA tourney appearances.
Nebraska Cornhuskers tickets were especially in high demand in 1996, when Nee led the team to a NIT (National Invitation Tournament) championship. Nee helped get the Huskers to the NIT tourney six times, and ended up finishing as the university’s all-time winningest basketball head coach with a solid 254-190 record.

9-9-14: The Cornhuskers needed their best player to make a play this past Saturday to beat McNeese State 31-24. However, no one could have expected running back Ameer Abdullah to come through the way he did to prevent Nebraska from suffering an upset of massive proportions. Abdullah turned a short pass from QB Tommy Armstrong Jr. into a game-winning 58-yard touchdown with 20 seconds left. He broke numerous tackles along the way to capture the victory. Abdullah finished with 150 yards of total offense and two touchdowns. Nebraska will travel to California to take on Fresno State this Saturday.
9-4-14: The Cornhuskers easy 55-7 win over Florida Atlantic had all of the things its coaching staff and fans wanted to see. They had solid quarterback play, lots and lots of Ameer Abdullah running the ball and a defense that didn't give up too many big plays. However, the game came at a price. Star defensive end Randy Gregory got hurt early, and had arthroscopic surgery on his knee this past Sunday and is doubtful for Nebraska's game this Saturday against McNeese State. Nebraska won’t miss Gregory against the Cowboys, but they will need him if the Cornhusker’s have aspirations of winning the Big Ten.
