Oklahoma State Cowboys News
9-15-14: OSU backup quarterback Daxx Garman was 16 of 30 for 315 yards and two touchdowns in the Cowboys 43-13 win over UTSA. Starting quarterback J.W. Walsh, who was injured in the first quarter against Missouri State last week, underwent surgery this past Thursday. Reports have him missing anywhere from 6-8 weeks to the remainder of the season. Garman seems more than capable to take control of the offense. Ok-State will host Texas Tech this coming weekend.
9-9-14: QB Daxx Garman threw for 244 yards and two touchdowns to lead Oklahoma State to a 40-23 victory over Missouri State this past Saturday. Garman entered the contest late in the first quarter, for injured starter J.W. Walsh. Walsh suffered a possible ankle sprain and could be out for a significant amount of time. The Cowboys were already missing starting running back Desmond Roland, who was injured in the squad's season-opening 37-31 loss to top-ranked Florida State. Oklahoma State plays host to University of Texas-San Antonio this weekend.
9-4-14: Despite opening the 2014-15 season with a loss for the first time since 2007, Oklahoma State may have made one of the biggest impressions of any Week 1 team that failed to win a game. The Cowboys played defending champion Florida State down to the wire, rallying from a 17-0 second-quarter deficit to keep the game within reach until they final minutes. They ultimately fell to the Seminoles 37-31, but their defense was able to shutdown the FSU running attack and pester Heisman winner Jameis Winston all night. The Cowboys will almost certainly get a win this weekend when they play Missouri State at home.
