NFC Championship News

The Seattle Seahawks will host their second straight NFC Championship game this weekend as the Green Bay Packers head to Seattle. In the Divisional Round, the Green Bay Packers took care of the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field. Aaron Rodgers and the Packers dealt the Cowboys their first road loss of the season after coming back from a 21-13 deficit in the third quarter, winning 26-21. A controversial catch late in the fourth quarter by Dez Bryant was reversed after Green Bay won their first challenge of the year, which ended up being Dallas’ best shot at reclaiming the lead. The game featured fantastic quarterback play as Tony Romo threw for 191 yards on 15-for-19 passing, two touchdowns and no interceptions. However, Aaron Rodgers threw for 316 yards on 24-of-35 passing, three touchdowns and also zero interceptions. The Seattle Seahawks dominated the Carolina Panthers at home in their divisional game, winning 31-17. The score made the game seem closer than it even was as Carolina scored a late touchdown after Seattle scored 17 unanswered points in the fourth quarter. Russell Wilson was in his usual postseason form, throwing for three touchdown passes on 15-for-22 passing for 268 yards. Cam Newton struggled for Carolina, throwing two interceptions in the game and finishing with 246 passing yards on 36 attempts and throwing two touchdowns.
