From The Bronx
Take the Triborough, Whitestone or Throgs Neck Bridge to Queens, enter the Grand Central Parkway East to the Northern State Parkway and take Exit 31A (Meadowbrook Parkway South) to Exit M4 and follow signs to Nassau Coliseum.
From Staten Island
Take the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge to the Belt Parkway East and head to the Southern State Parkway (25A) to Exit 22N (Meadowbrook Parkway North) and then Exit M4 and follow signs to Nassau Coliseum.
From Upstate New York
Take the New York Thruway to the Throgs Neck Bridge to Queens and enter the Grand Central Parkway East which turns into the Northern State Parkway. Take Exit 31A (Meadowbrook Parkway South) to Exit M4 and follow signs to Nassau Coliseum.
Take the N70, N71 or N72 from the Hempstead Terminal. Those buses will drop you off on the Hempstead Turnpike opposite the Nassau Coliseum.
The venue is located near two (2) Long Island Railroad train stations, named Westbury and Hempstead. To get to the venue from the station, a taxi ride will be required. That ride will only be about 5-10 minutes from the train station to Nassau Coliseum.
There are nine (9) general and preferred parking lots surround Nassau Coliseum for guests driving to the game. They are labeled numerically from 1-9.
General parking exists in Lot 8 and costs $8.25 for family/sports events and concerts.
Preferred parking exists in Lots 1-7 and costs $15 for family/sports events and $30 for concerts
Buses and limos can park in any Lot, with bus parking costing $45 and limo parking costing $55 for all events.
For WWE events, parking cost is $30.
Preferred parking entrance is located off the Hempstead Turnpike while general and VIP parking entrances are located off of Earle Ovington Boulevard.
Gate Locations and openings
There are 20 gates that are available for guests to enter through at Nassau Coliseum. They are labeled numerically from 1-20 and run clockwise. Gate 1 begins in the northernmost section of the venue. Gate 10 is in the southernmost section of the venue, while Gate 20 is directly beside Gate 1 to the west. All doors open an hour and a half (90 minutes) prior to the start of Islanders games.
In accordance with the NHL bag policy, guests may only carry clear plastic or vinyl bags that do not exceed the size of 12 inches x 6 inches x 12 inches. One-gallon clear plastic freezer bags (Ziploc) will be permitted as well as small handbags and purses. Staff personnel have the right to check all bags at random before guests enter the arena. Failure to comply with staff will result in being denied access into Nassau Coliseum.
