Xcel Energy Center
Xcel Energy Center is located at 199 Kellogg Boulevard West in St. Paul Minnesota 55102.
The multi-purpose arena has a seating capacity of 17,954 for hockey and lacrosse games and 20,000 for concert events.
The Xcel Energy Center first broke ground in June of 1998, and initially opened in September of 2000 at a construction cost of $170 million. Xcel Energy Center is the home of the Minnesota Wild of the NHL, and Minnesota Swarm of the NLL.
From The North
Take I-35E south and exit on Wacouta.
Follow seven blocks to Kellogg Boulevard and turn right.
From The South
Take I-35 north to the Grand Avenue exit.
Turn right and follow Grand Avenue to W. 7th Street.
Take a left on W. 7th Street.
From The East
Take I-94 west and exit on 6th Street.
Turn left on Kellogg Boulevard.
From The West
Take I-94 east and exit on 5th Street.
Xcel Energy Center is two stop lights from the exit ramp, straight ahead, at the corner of 5th Street and W. 7th Street.
From MSP Airport
Take the airport access road and follow signs for Hwy. 5 to Saint Paul.
Travel on Hwy. 5 to Saint Paul (approximately 8 miles) to 35E North.
Exit 35E north to the Kellogg Boulevard exit and turn right.
There are nine different parking lots surrounding Xcel Energy Center.
Guests also have the options of pre-paid parking.
General parking for cars cost anywhere between $12 and $25.
Gates and Openings
There are five gate locations at Xcel Energy Center. Gate numbering runs clockwise around the arena, beginning with Gate 1 located at the main lobby on the southeast side of the building. Doors open about 90 minutes prior to the start of an event.
Small and normal size bags are allowed entry after a search is performed, but bags and backpacks that are larger 12x 12 will be prohibited.
