12-29-14: Quarterback Rakeem Cato and receiver Tommy Shuler capped their illustrious careers with
record-setting performances in the inaugural Boca Raton Bowl last Monday, as Marshall beat
Northern Illinois 52-23. Cato threw for three touchdowns and was voted the most valuable player
in the game. Shuler had 18 catches for 185 yards in the game and broke the Conference USA
record for career catches with 322. Cato finished the year with 40 touchdown passes. He also extended his streak of throwing at least one touchdown pass to 46 consecutive games. That tied the NCAA all-division record.
