With an incredible nineteen Hot Country Songs number ones to his name, Brad Paisley is arguably the genre’s most successful contemporary male singer-songwriter. Born in Glen Dale, West Virginia in 1972, he began performing in church aged just ten and two years later formed his first band The C-Notes. A regular on the country radio show Jamboree USA, he became the youngest act to be inducted into its Hall of Fame, and after touring with the likes of The Judds, Ricky Skaggs and George Jones, interning at Atlantic Records and graduating from Belmont University with a music business degree, he secured a song-writing contract with EMI, penning hits for David Kersh and David Ball. In 1999, he released his debut album, Who Needs Pictures, scored his first number one with “He Didn’t Have To Be” and appeared on TLC special, Route 66: Main Street. Awarded the Best New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music, he was then inducted into the Grand Ole Opry, released 2001’s Part II and opened for Lonestar on their North American tour. Following the first No.1 success of 2003’s Mud On The Tires, Brad Paisley tickets for his first headline tour, Muds & Suds, went on sale whilst duets with Dolly Parton and Alan Jackson helped 2005’s Time Well Wasted become his highest-charting Billboard Top 200 hit. A string of number ones from 2007’s Fifth Gear earned him the title of most consecutive chart-toppers by a country artist ever, whilst over one million Brad Paisley tickets were sold for his subsequent Bonfires & Amplifiers tour. In 2008, he won his first Grammy Award for Best Country Instrumental (“Throttleneck”), got the chance to showcase his skills as a guitarist on the largely instrumental Play LP and collaborated with Keith Urban on the track, “Start A Band.” A year later, he released American Saturday Night, performed at a celebration of country music at the White House and co-hosted the CMA Awards for a second time. Following 2010 compilation Hits Alive, he contributed two songs to the Cars 2 soundtrack, released eighth studio effort, This Is Country Music, and scored his biggest US Hot 100 hit with Carrie Underwood duet, “Remind Me.” After completing three legs of his H20 tours, Brad Paisley tickets continued to sell in their droves for his 2012 Virtual Reality tour, whilst hit single “Southern Comfort Zone” gave him his highest first-week peak to date.
