Jason Bonham Biography
English drummer Jason Bonham is perhaps best known for being the son of the late Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham, first began playing the drums at the age of four and joined his first band by the age of 17. By, 1985 he was with a British rock band called Virginia Wolf recording two albums with them and touring the US. During in the 1980’s, following his father’s death Bonham would play with Led Zeppelin on different occasions but still would find time to work on his own material with other rock stars including with former Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page for his “Outrider” album and tour. During that time, Jason would form his own band called “Bonham” releasing a hit single called “Wait for You” which did get some airplay but after their subsequent releases and a lukewarm reception to the work, the band would break up in 1997. Jason represented his father when Led Zepplin was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and put together a solo project that featured songs from the legendary band. Bonham would find work working with other artists, appearing in a movie and a reality TV Show on VH1. Bonham would join the group Black Country Communion in late 2009 and was with them until the band broke up in 2013. Jason has since joined another group joining Sammy Hagar’s supergroup Circle.
