Pitbull Tour News
11-7-14: Tickets are now on sale for the newest portion of Pitbull and Enrique Iglesias' world tour. The 2015 dates will hit many of the cities not performed at during the first leg. On the secondary market, these new venues average $254. Of those, the most expensive performance is by far January 31st at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
8-14-14: Miami rapper Pitbull recently secured his own SiriusXM satellite radio channel. The rapper said that the channel will feature his favorites including local Miami music, songs from his childhood as well as current international hits. The channel is set to go live sometime in early 2015. Pitbull meanwhile is set to release his new album Globalization later this year with the video for the first single off that album “Fireball” is racking up hits on Youtube.
One of the most ubiquitous rappers of the 21st Century, Pitbull’s party-loving hip-pop sound has become a permanent fixture on the worldwide charts thanks to both his own solo releases and a string of high-profile collaborations. Born Armando Perez in Miami in 1981 to Cuban parents, he became hooked on the city’s thriving bass scene from an early age and after adopting the Pitbull moniker, first showcased his MC skills on a freestyle included on Lil Jon’s 2002 LP, Kings Of Crunk. An appearance on the 2 Fast 2 Furious soundtrack followed (“Oye”), while in 2004, he released his debut album, M.I.A.M.I. and scored a first US Top 40 hit with “Culo.” Eminem, 50 Cent and Pitbull tickets were then released for a 39-date Anger Management tour in 2005, while he continued to raise his profile on hook-ups with the likes of Ying Yang Twins, Twista and DJ Khaled. After co-founding the Bad Boy Latino label with P. Diddy, he reached No.15 in the US with 2006 second album, El Mariel, followed it up a year later with the harder-edged The Boatlift and landed his own variety show, Pitbull’s La Esquina, on the mun2 cable network. But it was with 2009’s more pop-focused Rebelution that he began to crossover to the mainstream. Buoyed by the Top 10 success of “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” and “Hotel Room Service,” it eventually shifted over seven million copies and enabled him to release Pitbull concert tickets for a 51-date world tour of the same name. In 2010, he released his first Spanish language effort, Armando, contributed to the Somos El Mondo Haiti benefit song and guested on huge hits by Enrique Iglesias and Usher. Following a global chart smash with Jennifer Lopez (“On the Floor”), he achieved his first chart-topper with “Give Me Everything,” reached No.7 in the US with parent album Planet Pit and released Pitbull tickets for another lengthy world tour. In 2012, he joined forces with the likes of Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera and Shakira for his star-studded seventh LP, Planet Pit, and recorded the theme to Men In Black III. While in 2013, he reunited with J-Lo for a third time on “Live It Up” and made Pitbull tickets available for a co-headlining North American tour alongside fellow party animal Ke$ha.
