American indie rock band Spoon released their 8th studio album in August of this year as their new album has received universal acclaim by most music critics. The band is now out touring performing across many parts of North America and the world in support of their latest album. The rock band has been on tour since the month of June and now there are barely over a handful of concert shows left to close out the year.
Spoon will return to perform their final shows of the year starting on December 5 at the ACL Live at The Moody Theatre in Austin, Texas.
According to TicketIQ, the group will then make stops to perform at the Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado on December 7 and then a show at the Depot in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah on December 8 respectively. However, there are no Spoon tickets available for their first three shows of December.
According to TicketIQ however, there are limited Spoon tickets still available for two of their upcoming shows. The first is on December 15 when the rock band will perform at the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, Arizona where Spoon tickets for this show have a current average price of $77.56 in the secondary market with a get in price of $55 as Spoon tickets for this event are now down 11% over the past week.
The second show where there are still limited Spoon tickets available is their December 31 show at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas. Spoon tickets for their final show of the year have a current average price of $192.27 in the secondary market with a get in price of $152 as Spoon tickets for this show are now down 4% over the past week. The December 31 show marks as the most expensive for Spoon tickets of the remaining dates of their tour.
The rock band was first formed in late 1993 in Austin, Texas by lead singer and guitarist Britt Daniel and drummer Jim Eno. Spoon first began recording in 1994 and the band eventually signed to Matador Records and within a year released their first studio album “Telephono” in 1996 but was met with mixed reviews from music critics.
After the release of their sophomore album “Soft Effects,” Spoon would then sign with a Major Label Elektra Records in 1998. However, their first release of music under the label did not sell as well as the label had hoped and the group was eventually dropped by Elektra Records.
Spoon however would finally get commercial success by signing with Merge Records and releasing its third studio album “Girls Can Tell” that outsold their previous two albums combined. Their next release “Kill the Moonlight” in 2002 also saw similar success. Since then, the indie rock band has had three straight albums they’ve released to peak at the top 10 of the Billboard Charts with their latest album arguably their best work after a long hiatus from music after their 2010 release “Transerence.”
