About Barclays Center
Barclays Center is located at 620 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
For basketball games, the venue has a capacity of 17,732. For ice hockey games, it holds 15,813. For concerts, it has a capacity of 19,000.
Ground broke in March of 2010, with the venue officially opening on September 21, 2012.
Barclays Center is the current home of the Brooklyn Nets, New York Islanders and Long Island Nets.
When driving from around the five boroughs, the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn-Queens Expressway are the primary routes to take. The Barclays Center is also conveniently located near the LIRR and MTA, which have a plethora of subway lines available right outside the venue.
From Manhattan via Brooklyn/Manhattan Bridge
Take the Brooklyn Bridge to Tillary Street, or take the Manhattan Bridge to Flatbush Avenue.
From Staten Island via Brooklyn-Queens Expressway
Take the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway to Exit 27 (Atlantic Avenue).
By public transit
MTA lines - Take the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q or R trains to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station. Fans can also take the C to Lafayette Avenue or the G to Fulton Street.
LIRR - Take the LIRR to Atlantic Terminal (16 minutes from Jamaica), which is located directly across the street from Barclays Center.
Parking is extremely limited around Barclays Center and the venue urges fans attending events to use public transit. No private lots are owned by the venue and street parking in a very condensed downtown Brooklyn will be difficult. For the best possible commute, take the train to the game.
Gate Locations and openings
There are four (4) main entrances into the Barclays Center. The GEICO main entry and Barclays Center Box Office is located at the corner of Flatbush and Atlantic Avenues. EmblemHealth Atlantic Entrance is located at the northeast corner of the arena on Atlantic Avenue. The EmblemHealth Dean Entrance is located on the southeast corner of the arena on Dean Street. The Calvin Klein VIP Entry is located at the northwest corner of the arena on Atlantic Avenue. For all Nets games, doors usually open 90 minutes prior to tipoff.
When bringing a bag to the event, its size should not exceed 18 inches x 14 inches x 10 inches. This size includes handbags, purses and backpacks. All bags are subject to check by venue personnel. Persons who fail to comply with staff will not be granted access into Barclays Center. Laptops and tablets are not permitted in seating bowl and no flashlights, laser pointers or audio/video recording devices will be allowed inside.
