Influenced just as much by Elvis Presley and Johnny Cash as Black Sabbath, The Ramones and
Motorhead, Volbeat established themselves as Denmark’s biggest rock export with a distinctive
blend of hard rock, heavy metal and psychobilly. The band formed in 2001 when frontman Michael
Poulsen, who disbanded his previous outfit Dominus after growing tired of their death metal sound,
decided to follow a more traditional rock n roll direction. After settling on the core line-up of bassist
Anders Kjolholm, guitarist Franz Gottschalk and drummer Jon Larsen, Poulsen and his bandmates
began performing to audiences with Volbeat tickets and recorded two demo albums before landing
a deal with Monster Rebel Records. In 2005, they released their debut album, The Strength/The
Sound/The Songs, and Volbeat tickets for an accompanying tour, while a year later, Gottschalk left to
be replaced by Thomas Bredahl. The appetite for Volbeat tickets grew in 2007 when they opened
the Roskilde Festival, supported Megadeth on their European tour, and scored a number one in their
homeland with Rock The Rebel/Metal The Devil. 2008’s Guitar Gangsters & Cadillac Blood continued
their run of success, while North American fans wanting Volbeat tickets got the chance to see the
band in action when they opened for Metallica on their World Magnetic tour. The band then joined
the European leg of the same tour in 2010 before hitting the likes of Download Festival and
Sonisphere Switzerland, and playing to thousands of fans with Volbeat tickets for their own run of
summer shows. Later that year, they released their fourth studio effort, Beyond Hell/Above Heaven,
a highly collaborative affair featuring guest appearances from Napalm Death’s Mark Greenway, King
Diamond’s Michael Denner and Kreator’s Miland Petrozza, which also spawned a US Main Rock
number one in the shape of “Heaven Nor Hell.” American fans then snapped up Volbeat tickets for
the 2011 Grand Summer Tour which wrapped up with a two-night stand at Anaheim’s House of
Blues, while the band then underwent another line-up change when Bredahl left to eventually be
replaced by former Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano. After joining Megadeth, Motorhead and Lacuna
Coil on the 2012 travelling festival, Gigantour, the band released Volbeat tickets for their own
headlining trek. The demand for Volbeat tickets then increased considerably in 2013 when Outlaw
Gentleman & Shady Ladies reached number one in several countries and peaked at No.9 on the
