12-1-14: The Rebels avenged last season's overtime loss and ruined Mississippi State's playoff hopes with a 31-17 Egg Bowl victory. Bo Wallace threw for 296 yards and ran for a one-yard touchdown in his final home game. Jaylen Walton finished with 148 rushing yards. Ole Miss will await their opponent for a bowl game.
11-24-14: The Rebels lost its third straight conference game, 30-0 Saturday to Arkansas, after starting the season 7-0. They turned the ball over six times. Bo Wallace threw two interceptions along with 235 passing yards. The Rebels managed just 63 yards on the ground total. Ole Miss hasn't lost
four consecutive SEC games since 2011. They are set to face one-loss Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl rivalry game this week.
11-10-14: The Rebels made quick work of FCS Presbyterian, scoring 39 seconds into the game and
cruising to a 48-0 victory. Bo Wallace threw two touchdown passes to Vince Sanders in the first
quarter. Wallace finished with 140 yards on 11 of 15 passing. Ole Miss has 640 yards in total,
which was a season high. Their defense gave up only 156 yards and forced two turnovers. Hugh
Freeze’s team has a bye this week.
11-3-14: Ole Miss suffered a painful 35-31 home loss to Auburn in more ways than one. Star wide receiver Laquon Treadwell suffered an apparent broken leg as he lost a fumble short of the goal line with 90 seconds left. Bo Wallace had 402 yards of total offense with two touchdown passes. He also fumbled in the red zone. Treadwell had 10 catches for 103 yards and a touchdown. The Rebels play Presbyterian this week.
10-27-14: The Rebels are no longer undefeated as LSU knocked off Ole Miss 10-7 Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. Quarterback Bo Wallace was picked off near the goal line with two seconds left. Head coach Hugh Freeze called a pass instead of giving kicker freshman Gary Wunderlich a try at a 47-yard field goal that could have forced overtime. Wallace was just 14 of 33 for 176 yards with a TD and interception. The vaunted Ole Miss defense allowed 406 yards, including 264 on the ground. The relentless SEC schedule never takes a break as the Rebels host Auburn this week.
10-20-14: Ole Miss relied on a dominant defense, as they forced four turnovers and held Tennessee to minus-two rushing yards in their 34-3 victory. Quarterback Bo Wallace was just 13 of 28 for 199 yards, but he did throw two touchdowns. The Rebels intercepted Justin Worley three times and sacked him seven times. AP No. 3 Ole Miss travels to Baton Rouge this week to take on LSU.
10-15-14: The Rebels showed no hangover from their massive win over Alabama last week, jumping all over Texas A&M early, beating them 35-20. Ole Miss was outgained 455-338 by A&M but with big defensive plays and no turnovers from quarterback Bo Wallace, the yardage advantage A&M had was negated. Wallace threw for 179 yards. Ole Miss plays host to Tennessee this weekend.
9-5-14: The Ole Miss Rebels are coming off a solid season opener against the Boise State Broncos this past weekend with a convincing 35-13 win. The Rebels did show some vulnerability on the offensive side off the ball with a sloppy performance offensively up until the fourth quarter as the Rebels finally exploded, scoring 28 points in the final period turning a 7-6 game into a blowout win. In the fourth quarter, Ole Miss QB Bo Wallace threw three of his four touchdown passes, which included 76 yard TD pass to Cody Core finishing the game overall with 387 yards passing to help make up the three first half interceptions. The Rebels defense was the major factor this game forcing four takeaways and not allowing Boise State into their redzone until the final five minutes to play. Ole Miss Rebels will now look forward to a showdown with Vanderbilt this Saturday.
