12-1-14: Kyle Allen was 17-of -27 for 144 yards with one touchdown and one interception as the Aggies
fell to LSU 23-17 on Thanksgiving night. Trey Williams had 62 yards rushing and a score for
Texas A&M. The Tigers outgained the Aggies 491-228 for the game. Texas A&M will now await their bowl game opponent.
11-24-14: The Aggies had a bye this week as they prepare for LSU for a Thanksgiving night showdown in College Station. It hasn’t been the special year Aggie fans wanted to see this year. After all, how can one replace Johnny Manziel? Nonetheless, Kevin Sumlin’s team is stacked with blue chip recruits and will make some noise again in the SEC.
11-10-14: Freshman quarterback Kyle Allen threw four touchdown passes in the first half and the Aggies
recovered two late fumbles in a game that likely ended the Auburn’s playoff hopes, as A&M beat the Tigers 41-38 Saturday. Allen was 19 of 29 passes for 277 yards with an interception. Kevin Sumlins’ team had dropped three straight SEC games before toppling Auburn. The Aggies will play Missouri this week.
11-3-14: Freshman Kyle Allen threw for 106 yards and a touchdown in his first career start. Texas A&M held on for a 21-16 win over Louisiana-Monroe. Allen started in place of Kenny Hill, who was suspended for two games for violating team rules. The Aggies will play the red-hot Auburn Tigers this week.
10-27-14: The Aggies had a bye this week, and had a lot of time to ponder their 59-0 beatdown at the hands of Alabama. The A&M defense is allowing 422.6 yards per game to rank No. 88 overall in all of college football. Their offense has talented players, but this trend of poor defense cannot continue if the Aggies want to compete in the SEC. The play Louisiana-Monroe this week.
10-20-14: The Aggies got flat out destroyed by Alabama 59-0 Saturday in Tuscaloosa. Kenny Hill was 17 of 26 passing for just 138 yards. He was also intercepted for the sixth time in three games. A&M was outgained 602-172 by the Tide. The Aggie defense gave up touchdowns on its first eight possessions, after Alabama’s opening drive. Kevin Sumlin’s team has bye this week.
10-15-14: The Aggies fell behind then AP No. 4 Ole Miss 21-0 and could never mount a comeback losing 35-20. Turnovers plagued Texas A&M for the second straight game. Kenny Hill threw for 401 yards and two fourth quarter touchdowns. However, he was intercepted twice. Hill also lost a fumble, which the Rebels brought back for a score. A&M managed only 54 rushing yards, and despite outgaining the Rebels 455-338 for the game. The Aggies travel to Tuscaloosa this weekend to square off against the Crimson Tide.
10-6-14: Texas A&M couldn't generate another comeback for the second straight week, falling behind Mississippi State 28-10 at halftime and losing 48-31. QB Kenny Hill threw three interceptions that put a damper on his 365 yards and four touchdowns. The Aggie defense allowed 559 yards to the Bulldogs, including 289 yards on the ground. A&M has given up 76 points in the last eight quarters, plus overtime last week. They have a massive conference game this week when they host No. 4 Ole Miss.
10-1-14: Texas A&M trailed by 14 points entering the fourth quarter, but a pair Kenny Hill touchdown passes forced overtime, then the Aggies dominated OT, beating Arkansas 35-28. Hill threw for 386 yards and four touchdowns. Receiver Edward Pope hauled in four passes for 151 yards and two TDs. The A&M defense was pushed around by Arkansas' for most of the game, but held the Razorbacks to zero points and 93 yards in their final six possessions. The Aggies have a tough SEC matchup this weekend against AP No. 12 Mississippi State.
9-22-14: The Aggies dominated SMU on both sides of the ball to achieve their best start to a season since 2006. They got plenty of backups in after halftime in a 58-6 win against an awful SMU team. A&M gained 663 yards total, with quarterback Kenny Hill accounting for 322 of that. Hill threw for 265 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, the Aggies sacked SMU quarterbacks eight times and held the Mustangs to just 241 yards. They have interesting matchup this week when they travel to Arlington, Texas to face Arkansas.
9-15-14: The Aggies were sluggish to start, but did enough to cruise past Rice 38-10 on Saturday. Kenny Hill threw for 300 yards and four touchdowns. The Aggies led by 14 points at halftime, but struggled at times to sustain drives and committed several costly penalties, including one that resulted in a touchdown being called back. Hill now has 1,094 yards passing this season and is the first player in school history to throw for 1,000 yards in the first three games of a season. The Aggies travel to Dallas this weekend to take on SMU.
9-9-14: After their rout of South Carolina two weeks ago, one may think the Aggie offense would slow down just a bit. Think again! Texas A&M scored its most points in 11 years while gaining 630 yards beating Lamar 73-3. Kenny Hill threw for 283 yards and four touchdowns on 17-of-26 passing. He was relieved by true freshman Kyle Allen who threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns on 12-of-16 passing. The Aggies will almost certainly continue to roll this coming weekend when they host Rice.
9-4-14: Johnny Manziel who? Okay that maybe a bit pre-mature but you can’t tell me fans in College Station were not thinking that after the Aggies smoked South Carolina 52-28 last Thursday. Sophomore quarterback Kenny Hill threw for 511 yards, a school record, on 44-of-60 passing, along with three touchdowns. Malcome Kennedy had 14 catches for 137 yards, while the Aggie run game produced 169 yards total. The A&M defense was also impressive. Sky’s the limit for Kevin Sumlin’s team this season. Be sure to see a lot more offense from Hill and the gang this weekend as A&M plays host to Lamar.
