7-16-15: One of Disney's greatest animated Classics "Aladdin" is now a year into its Broadway run and there is word the show could be headed back to the big screen as prequel is now being talked about but still in the very early stages.

7-9-15: This Friday July 10, the cast of Aladdin will be taking a flight to Washington D.C. to perform a show at the Kids State Dinner at the White House. The Aladdin is now in its second year on Broadway playing at the New Amsterdam Theater.

6-23-15: The bold new Aladdin musical is now going over a year strong on Broadway and earlier this month both the cast of Aladdin and the Lion King were stranded at LaGuardia Airport and went head to head in performing songs to entertain fellow travelers who were also stranded.

Aladdin History

The Aladdin Musical is based on the 1992 Disney Animated Film of the same name. The musical first premiered on the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle in 2011. Since, the musical has gone through regional and international productions with a tryout in Toronto in 2013 before debuting on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theatre in New York in March of 2014. The show received mixed and positive reviews, being nominated for five Tony Awards in its first year as a Broadway production. Aladdin tickets this year on Broadway are not as expensive as some of the other popular shows on Broadway, but reasonable affordable for the rest of year.

According to TicketIQ, Aladdin tickets for 2015 at the New Amsterdam have a current average price of $201.79 on the secondary market. The most expensive show for 2015 which runs through the month of August is this Saturday’s 2pm show on Valentine’s Day as Aladdin tickets this Saturday have a current average price of $436.57 on the secondary market, a 116.3% premium increase compared to the average price for Aladdin tickets in 2015 at the New Amsterdam Theatre. Saturday’s 2pm showing also represent of just three performances of the year that Aladdin tickets at an asking average price of over $400, which all take place in the month of February. The least expensive ticket to get into Saturday’s 2pm show is priced at $140.
There reasonably priced shows for Aladdin tickets for 2015, but the least expensive show this year on Broadway is 2pm show on June 27 as Aladdin tickets on this day are currently going for an average price of $162.55 on the secondary market, a 19.4% below compared to the average price for Aladdin tickets for future shows this year at the New Amsterdam Theatre. The least expensive ticket to get into the 2pm show on June 27 is $93.
