History

Neyland Stadium opened on September 24, 1921. The stadium was last expanded in 1996 while considerable renovations were last made in 2010.

Directions

Both the I-40 and I-75 are the primary routes to take when traveling by car to Neyland Stadium. I-40 will be used if traveling from the East or West while I-75 will be used if traveling from the South. If traveling from the North, use U.S. Highway 129.

From the North (from McGhee Tyson Airport)

Upon leaving the airport, take U.S. Highway 129. Exit onto Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153) after crossing the Tennessee River Bridge outside of Knoxville. Following the Neyland Drive exit ramp, turn left and follow road until the Thompson-Boiling Arena is visible. Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard and then right at the stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way until Neyland Stadium is visible.

From the North (alternate from Lexington, KY)

Take I-75 south to I-275 south past Merchants Road. I-275 will become I-40 east. From I-40 east, exit onto James White Parkway and follow Parkway to Neyland Drive exit (Tennessee Highway 153). Following the Neyland Drive exit ramp, turn left and follow road until the Thompson-Boiling Arena is visible. Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard and then right at the stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way until Neyland Stadium is visible.

From the West (from Nashville) and South (from Chattanooga)

Take I-40 and I-75 to I-40/I-75 junction in west Knoxville. Continue to I-40 east to U.S. Highway 129 south. Exit onto Neyland Drive (Tennessee Highway 153). Following the Neyland Drive exit ramp, turn left and follow road until the Thompson-Boiling Arena is visible. Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard and then right at the stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way until Neyland Stadium is visible.

From the East (from Asheville, NC)

Take I-40 west to the Hall of Fame Drive. Make a left at the top of the exit and take Hall of Fame Drive to the Neyland Drive exit (Tennessee Highway 153). Following the Neyland Drive exit ramp, turn left and follow road until the Thompson-Boiling Arena is visible. Turn left onto Lake Loudoun Boulevard and then right at the stoplight. Follow Phillip Fulmer Way until Neyland Stadium is visible.

Parking

All lots surrounding Neyland Stadium are reserved for pass holders during game day events. To obtain a parking pass, fans must contact UT Parking Services at (865) 974-6031.
Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis and holds approximately 150 spaces. A parking pass is not required to enter accessible parking.
RV parking is available at the Civic Coliseum and costs $25 per day. Space is available for approximately 100 RV's and 20 hookup spots.
Shuttle buses from college campus run from Farragut High School on Campbell Station Road and costs $16 for a round-trip ride.
KAT buses also offer round-trip rides, with fare starting at $6.

Gate Locations and Openings

Neyland Stadium has 26 gates with numerical gates and stadium seating numbered left to right. The game day ticket offices are located at Gates 21, 10 and 23. Gate 21 opens four hours prior to kickoff while Gates 10 and 23 open two hours prior to kickoff. Will Call is located at Gate 21 and opens four hours prior to kickoff.

Bag Policy

Bag size must be smaller than 12 inches x 12 inches x 12 inches. Backpacks of any size are prohibited from entering Neyland Stadium. Large bags and purses, open umbrellas and professional cameras are also not allowed into the venue. The stadium does permit limited use of cameras along with cell phones, however. Mobile phones, binoculars, seat cushions, seats without arms and radios with headsets are also allowed.
